Something short.
~

Nina landed on the ground, a fresh scar on her face, right under her left eye. Her blood red eyes were soft, and glistening with tears as she flashed out of her magical girl form.

Watching her from a short distance was a close friend of hers, a male with purple hair and blue eyes, he watched her stare at a void of seemingly nothing, but only Nina could see this particular beast.

"...You win..." She muttered, causing the beast to smirk. The beast faded into nothing and Nina took a single step back and turned away. She began walking down a path and noticed the ale step in front of her, without even having to look up.

She looked up at him, her bangs concealing her left eye and new scar. She read his expression, not even giving him the chance to say anything she sighed softly and gave a false smile.

"...Fire can't always win..."
